When you realise that everyone human beings are fallible, we accept our mistakes and also understand others making a mistake and we empathise with them

Jokes apart, I don't believe, that if a child knows that his/her parents are 'ordinary people', he/she would be particularly delighted.
Kids need role models. And parents are the first ones that they mould their behaviour around.
So parents should not be asked to be honest in each matter with their kids. It just would make a boring family, with no spice and lack of suspense.

Second, we also need to revisit the idea that ordinary people are unnecessary and superheroes are what we need.

And why does anyone have to be a superhero anyway? Can't the kids outperform their parents in life? There are various living as well as historic examples. So this idea of being a superhero, an ideal person, should be carefully revisited both by parents and kids.

The "fallacy" over here, is that the moment you take the onus off your shoulders, you pass it onto someone else. And who easier than parents? We can blame them for entire failures and frustrations and it will be backed by psychologists.
But how about everyone tried to be their own hero?
Use your imagination 🤔
