Yes and no, I mean if you’re going more for some eye types and definitely a lot of the anime style you do then yes. For me personally I do a mix of an almond shape mixed with I call it like half of an apple on its side and just put a short “stem” on the other side. I think it’s important for anyone learning more about sketching and drawing (wether you call yourself an artist already or not) is that there’s different styles, just like there’s different “mediums” in art. I personally don’t draw anime characterss, and I was never taught “how to draw, ” I just did it when I was a child and still do it today, and my style has evolved and so will anyone else who practices. To any future or current artist, embrace your unique style 🤝
