People are afraid to lose their jobs and get behind on work. Some places have no sick days.

"sick shaming" that term is ridiculous! If you show up to work sick then you should expect your coworkers to act like that. I would, I don't want to get sick. If your sick to the point that you're exhibiting symptoms STAY HOME!

Be contagious stay home like the measles, don’t risk getting other coworkers sick, sneezing without tissue nearby ask for time off

Ha I worked at Starbucks and even with the flu or the cold we were made to feel guilty for calling in. They actually encouraged us to show up to work sick.

Someone sneezed near me and got spit all over my face yesterday. It took all I had in me to not to punch him in the face. I better not get sick!!!

Some of my crazy coworkers, were going around spraying and polluting the air with disinfectant spray all to shame one mildly sick coworker. I am very sensitive to chemicals, so I got really sick just from breathing in the air around me. Everyone can prevent spreading their sickness just by washing, washing your hands and cover your sneezes and coughs.
