Dr Teeth Meets Floyd from The Muppets Mayhem

Fun fact: Dr. Teeth's parents are played by puppet builder, fabricator and performer David Bizzaro (as Teeth's dad), and Stephanie D'Abruzzo (as his mom).

Poor Teeth. It's really not easy to live up to your family's expectations. The way I see it, being a musician is his one true calling, and nobody can change that, not even his mom and dad. Teeth is who he is, and I love him for that, no matter what. He'll always have a friend in me, just like Floyd.

This new series did a lot of great things, but I think the best thing they did was dive straight into Dr. Teeth's backstory. They didn't trim any fat away or skip over anything important. They showed young Teeth and his discontent in following his parents' directed path full on-screen. We see his meeting with Floyd, where his name and gold tooth came from, and how they started the band. Just perfect.

The Electric Mayhem is such an integral (albeit now secondary) cast to the Muppets, but all of its members are still a mystery because we've never really seen where they come from or how they got together. I'm so happy they chose to give Dr. Teeth so much that he (and we) were missing for as long as we've known him. After watching all his flashbacks, you really start to reach out to this guy. The leader of the band who is always so confident and in charge now has a different spectrum hidden deep inside that we get to see where it originated from.

I'm a little disappointed that we didn't see how Janice, Zoot, and Lips joined the band, and also how Janice and Floyd met. We got a tiny scene where Janice says how they first met, but that barely counted. We have a relationship happening right here within the band with 2 of its members. I crave the day when we get to see how it all started full-throttle.

Floyd's good people, and we knew that. Still, it's lovely to see that he's always had a big accepting heart, and a lot of time and respect for other people (whether they're decent to him or not).

Man, poor Dr. Teeth. Having family that don't support his dreams sucks. I'm an artist, and in my family, art is "boring and a waste of time" and I have an uncle who once called art "crap". I like Dr. Teeth as the piano playing, flamboyant guy he becomes when he chooses to not follow his parent's dreams.

i kinda love how Teeth is portrayed. plus i am just in love with how long his arms are and how they use it. plus i diden't know Teeth was from the youth, or well i just thought it was how he spoke but then again series confirmed it. But i guess in future seasons we could see other backstories of the band memebers, cause it might be worth a visit for Janice's backstory, since it could be she is sad on the inside but projects an aura of joy and tranquility because of her inner regrets since she really does do alot of stuff for the 2 sisters in the series and her way of conviceing them to forgive each other.

Floyd Pepper's last name (and his original costume) was a tribute to the Beatles but his first name was an in-joke to Pink Floyd since his face is pink--therefore being a tribute to two bands.
