Marmalade - Rainbow - introduced by Lulu & Mamma Cass Elliot - 1970.wmv

There are a few versions of this already posted - but nice to see the intro with Lulu & Mama Cass - also the apparent "camaraderie" at the end between "wee Marie Lawrie" and her fellow Glaswegians!
"Bad hair day" for Pat & Junior ( they look like Hinge & Brackett!) -- mind you, wee Marie's doesn't look too clever either -- but hey, it's the 1970's! (only just).
Slightly sad though to see this, as Cass left us just a few years later, when she died in London ... shame .............
Enjoy while you can - I expect the copyright police will pounce soon and take all this stuff off!
regards Nimmie

For a group that was underrated they came on over the years singing many great brilliant fantastic real true talent songs.
Im a 1960s Child and from when i started to take in and love the many songs of Marmalade.
Im one of there many idolised loved fans world wide that is.
This is a group who didnt waste no time performing.
There idolised and loved world wide over from many vast amounts of screaming fans of many ages and nations.
The performed to every full house show with not an empty seat in the autatourium theatre.
There songs sold into millions all over the world.
Crouds of screaming fans waited in lines of long queues to see this fabulous brilliant great fantastic group.
They performed well or not at all.
And from when they first started all those many yeas back.
There songs are still played and idolised loved world wide over.
Its now the year 2023.
And there is those who thought Marmalade wouldn't accomplish achieve there main goal ambition to success.
That shows and proves there poor lack knowledge understanding of what real true talent singers is and about.
This song was out when i was just a very bright young Boy Child with Childhood at age 8. Another classic song that was underrated.

My favorite of Marmalade’s singles. Writing this a couple days after Dean Ford passed away at age 72. Dean co-wrote this with fellow band member Junior Campbell.

At a concert at Rivington Barn for 31st December 1970, we had these guys. They were brilliant. I got together in that sweaty smokey people-filled room with a girl I thought was the one for life. It was magic until August. "Life" in this sense was a bit short in thos days.
I hope she has had a good one since
