The king was either God or Jesus who was waiting for him to reach out or call on him for help. I think it was Betty Eadie that wrote in her book that God wants to help and the angels want to help but he won’t interfere with our free will without being asked to. This guy clearly doesn’t know Jesus at this moment but maybe he will understand how Jesus is ready to help us all when we are ready to accept him.
This man’s experience was so my like Howard Storm’s book I was waiting for him to say Jesus help me and for Jesus to show up with his light. I pray that he has that turning in his life so that he’ll know he doesn’t have to see that horrible place ever again. -in Jesus’ name amen.

I believe many of the people.. lose their way.. Not knowing they have a chance to always reach out.. and accept the hand offered to help.. I hope this person has continued long and enjoyable life.. and next time will not walk in darkness but stand in the light.. That they finally found their way home.. Love/Light..

a few quotes from the story: 1) "I was reaping what I had sown for an entire lifetime." 2) "my life-long assumption that I wasn't worthy had been verified." it sounds like they had some preexisting beliefs that may have colored the experience. it may have been an experience they needed to have in order to learn something.

This man's experience was undeniably real, quite reminiscent of Howard Storm's experience (which he recounts in his book, My Descent Into Death). Hell is real and incredibly horrible. The little girl must be an angel of some sort, as the author has suggests. God is merciful and does give some people a chance to escape Hell. This man did not have a direct encounter with Jesus, but I assume the "King" mentioned by the little girl is Jesus Himself.

(The author does quote the Book of John at the end, though, which is very encouraging. I hope and pray he that he now has a deep and abiding faith in Jesus, in which case he will never go back to that horrible place!)

I hope he changed the way he lived his life after experiencing hell. Many people believe that individuals create their own hell. Also sicknesses is a representation of the times we have blocked the light coming through us. We block the light when we focus in anger, judgment of others, holding grudges, etc. Let's all clean our thoughts with pure love.

Whatever it was gave him an opportunity to change his ways and that in itself is a miracle and evidence of God’s unconditional love. Love and God’s blessings to all.

This is a fascinating one I think I have heard it before and it is terrifying but the good part is that there was Redemption so I hope he never has to face that place again

the thing that scares me about this story is that he said at 5:30 that the God he loved through out his life didnt want him. this means to me that he was a believer and yet still ended up in hell and that his fear he wasnt worthy was verified. we have no way of knowing how he lived his life but im willing to bet he wasnt a terrible criminal but rather someone who lives like most of us which is to say not bad but not not all they could be in Gods eyes. personally i find this terrifying, as i have also had the feeling i am not worthy and it pains me. Im not a terrible person, i dont cause harm to people and will go out of my way to avoid harming others but i also dont go out of my way to help either not to mention all my other typical human weaknesses. I hope my fears are not verified also. I kindly ask you folks to say a little prayer for me that the Lord helps me overcome my weaknesses and forgives me any transgressions so that we all find each other in the kingdom some day.

What kind of life did this person lead before the NDE? Knowing that would have explained the negative experience this person had.

Lee I absolutely believe this was real and I am so pleased that it sounds like he has found the Lord since; the only way to not end up there (accepting the gift that only Jesus himself can offer.)
