Rabbits Pass Through Chain-Link Fence in Slow-Motion

My neighbors have lots of rabbits and two small ones like to visit my backyard. I don't mind much, but what really impressed me is how the rabbits simply go through the chain-link fence between our two yards. Both bunnies look much bigger than the opening in the fence, but they pass through it easily -- especially the tan one.

I shot this at two different speeds: 120 frames per second (720p) and 240 frames per second (480p), using a Panasonic Lumix ZS50 camera.

When I was a kid, I was chasing a rabbit to try and get a closer look at one. The rabbit ran right through a chain link fence and it blew my mind --something that big going through something that small. Thanks for posting this video!

Bob, I feel foolish. I told my wife just yesterday that, as a wildlife biologist, I was certain that rabbits could not squeeze through holes that small in our fence. Boy, was I wrong. I can't wait to tell her. Thanks

I just put up a chain link fence and I told my wife a rabbit hopped right through it, I couldn't believe my eyes, but I guess it just slipped through the hole. My Wife thought I was crazy, thanks for video.

So. My girlfriend was sitn outside and a rabbit came n to our yard passed by her then jumped to th other side of the 7 foot fence . We looked for a hole n th fence everywhere and there wasn't one at all . I gave her hell for 11 months untill this morning when I watched this video and now I have to say, she was right !! It did go thru the fence holes !!!!

Ok I'm shooketh because my rabbit keeps getting out my backyard that I made sure was rabbit proof. Their was a small hole but I thought it's too small for him to fit through...now I see when I catch him again I will plug up the hole

Just had two rabbits few days ago and I let them run around the backyard. One of them escaped from a very tiny hole to get into my neighbor's backyard. Don't know how is that possible because my rabbit is so big. Wow I see now. Wow !!!!

Every day 2 rabbits toy with my 2 dogs. I open the door and they fly out to catch the rabbits. Sometimes they will wait till my dogs are half way to them, then take off!! I've been tripping on how fast they go through my fence. Like it's not even there. Figured I'd you tube it to see if anybody had filmed it..lol and here it is.. Thank you!!

Well, this is what I thought was happening. I got a little dog in April. Her goal in life is to catch the rabbit that insists o living in my yard. I put extra fencing in some spots along with the chain link fence. Today I saw the little shit just run right through the chain link. Sigh.

I'm here because I google the  question "can bunny rabbits chew through my fence?"  because my little neighbor asked last night if he could go  in my fenced back yard to retrieve his bunny.  He's a fatty too. (The bunny, not the kid)
