I've been talking to my dad about how I think some popular engineers (the CLA type) are just trying to bloat their egos because they need to because no one else does, but even though a good engineer is important, and they could be a great engineer, it's really the people that create the hardware, and now the plugins, that are the geniuses. The people that create the tools that make everything possible. Without a guitar I'm nothing. Without plugins that push the boundaries of sound, nothing we hear today would be possible. All great plugin creators are the reason why music is where it is today!

I only hope we don't lose that touch with actual instrument playing, because I'm going to miss that if it ever goes away. I don't think any virtual environment or virtual controller can come close to the freedom you get on a guitar or keyboard (or whatever is your instrument).

I'm very jealous of the coding wizardry that's required to be able to do similar things to sound through coding. That's just so awesome. Thanks!

I really like how the guys give little "try this" n "try that's"!!...Waves should make more in-depth documentaries. Possibly bring in a few every day 'DIY' home setup producers and provide them with insights for about two days and then monitor their creative progress for a week after giving them small creative plugin packs and see what they come up with...I would love to work for Waves Audio.
