I can see the individual water drops hitting the water. That looks super clean, but I'm not convinced. The first gameplay is always worse than real gameplay

I know they have time to polish things up, but animations look really stiff. I’m waiting for the gameplay tomorrow, but the art direction was a choice. Even if the scene is a little grittier than the trailer lead us to believe, the tone still feels off, still a bit stylized and cartoony.

This is vertical scene.. Its all scripted!! those npc might not be even there in the actual release gameplay.. this is just a presentation

To be fair the game looks fine but the trailer looked like something out of Fortnite. That is kind of on the studio for making the trailer look awful. The gameplay looks good and they really should have made a better trailer. Out some of the actual gameplay in the trailer instead of doing what they did.

Cinematic trailers rarely show the truth of the game. And this was true, even back in the DAO days; the visual gaps in CGI of the cinematic trailers vs the actual game was pretty normal for the 2000s, but it is hilariously stark, in hindsight. And marketers are often pushed to market the "trendy, eye-catching, algorithm-friendly way"; regardless of game content/vibe. These days, that means bright colours, a visual 'bullet-list' of the game's main drawing features (the characters, in the last trailer's case) & punchy, quip-heavy, scripts.
I'm choosing to be hopeful, anyway. The first game play clips will tell more about the true vibe to expect.

I don't give a fuck about trailers, gameplay is were I make my judgement. Ubisoft are the masters at making great trailers and then handing you a shit game. Bathesda is another example of this, the promotion of starfield made people call it the game of the century before it even came out and then were where delivered a pile of shit. Morale of the story is even if you get a good trailer don't make judgements until you get extensive gameplay!
