Zenith 3M camera.
My father gave this camera to my mother on March 8, 1967. Then in 1968 I was born and I was photographed on it.
Then I grew up and began to photograph it myself. Now it is kept at home as a memory of my father.
At the weekend, I'll charge the camera roll and go take pictures on it.

Fully mechanical you need a hand held light meter to set the f stops and shutter speed
As for infinity
Just turn the focus ring to the figure 8 infinity symbol
Ignore any out of focus on the viewfinder
The reason is a rangefinder lens say from a zorki or fed ...same mount but not
designed for a mirror SLR, the mirror for shortens the focal plane
Not a problem short distance
But as said above
For distance set the focus to best guess, it will do it
As one grows experience in photography one can judge distance
I use old bellow cameras the viewfinder just a square metal frame ..No through the lens or rangefinder, just a metal wire square on top ..the focus just a few symbols of 1 metre 4 etc to infinity
Never had a face or back ground out of focus .
Learn the ratio of aperture f stops to shutter speed till you can judge light as good as a light meter
Then even a lump of brass and steel 60 years old, will take pictures surpassing those of a Technology 2000 dollars digital DSLR

When the shutter is cocked, if I push down the film rewind button, the shutter fires. Is that supposed to happen?

Apart from the loading of the film, is it similar with the zenit 3?

At 500 and 250 shutter speed it completely works, but if I go any lower the shutter cloth does not fully close again on it's own. Any way to fix this issue? :)
