I remember, When I was about 11 and this came out. I didn't have an N64 because there was no money to buy me the console and game but my friend, However had it. He had invited me over and the instant I heard this melody, I fell deeply in love with the game. The graphics, The gameplay, The story... I loved it all. I remember trying to fight (and lost) to stay there longer so I could experience the adventure more. Then, When i did have enough money (Mind you, this is when I turned 18 and actually had a job), I bought a second hand n64 and a copy of this game and from the moment I turned it on, I felt that familiar nostalgic rush. I played straight through the evening, into the morning and when I beat the game, I felt the simultaneous rush of accomplishment and the tiniest twinge of sadness, For I knew I could never go back to the same sense of wonder and awe I had once felt when i first picked up the game but still, When I hear this song, I smile and remember those times and wish I could be a part of them again.

this was my very first game EVER. and my mother was the person who showed me this game i watched her play through the entire game in her lap. and as best i could at the age of 4 or 5 i used this game to teach me how to read! eventually i got it and i beat the game myself. but as a child it really instilled all these important themes in my life which is completely insane. taught me to challenge myself, persevere and overcome challenges, think creatively, fight back, make as many friends as you can. even when your scared be brave and keep going. save your money, and learn to be ok being alone. as an only child the hero of time was somebody i aspired to be without even knowing it. so needless to say this shit is deeper than just playing video games. i was reading at an eleventh grade level in 3rd grade all because i was playing zelda everyday. the franchise gave me at least one crucial practical skill in life i could use and have never stopped using to today. i can't help but feel consumed by this timeless soundtrack, as it means many things to me. but above all it is a form of love and nourishment for me. it reminds me of who i am and why i love music so much. and thank you if you read all this i appreciate it.

I would describe the song as a metaphor: When you have all the pain of life behind you, the best memories of the past and the hope for a better life after this world!zelda ooT for n64 always for me no.1#❤

I think the moment I started to see video games as Art than strictly entertainment was when I got this game and it’s system in a garage sale. I played Zelda before this, but I felt something different when the game was starting up. I couldn’t believe that something beautiful was coming from my Tv, let alone in a game cartridge that was also older than me. I remember I would wake up early in the morning just to start up Ocarina of Time. I don’t know why the developers went above their talents and out of their way to make the game this way, but I am forever grateful. Thank you Koji Kondo.

This brings back so many memories. Playing this game as my little brother watched ..lost in the magical world of anytime without a worry in the world..

I used to leave my game open on the title screen so it would play over and over while I slept. Looking back I am slightly in horror at how I treated something that would one day become a precious item to me. But I am glad I did. And I don't need to put it at risk to do so now. <3

The horse Galloping makes this better and nostalgic. But, the rain is more calming for sure

This is so good, it reminds me a bit of the Mario64 songs. It feels to tranquil and beautiful. I feel bad about not finishing this game because of Jabu-Jabu and then losing my mupen emulator data
