Welcome, dear Halidonians. Today, we explore the mystery behind Mozart's final masterpiece: the Requiem. In 1791, as Mozart's health declined, he received a mysterious commission for a Requiem Mass. A stranger in black delivered the request, insisting on anonymity. Mozart, intrigued
and unsettled, began composing. Despite his failing health, Mozart poured his soul into the Requiem, believing he was writing his own funeral mass. Mozart continued to work until his death on December 5, 1791, leaving the Requiem unfinished. After Mozart's death, his student Süssmayr completed the Requiem, honoring Mozart's vision. Mozart’s Requiem remains a powerful and mysterious work, a final testament to his genius.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the composer, who literally gave all of himself and his enormous talent into one of his most beautiful works and definitely the most beautiful ever composed (and most dramatic) Requiem Mass 🎵😌🎶

I subscribed to this channel and I will continue to support it because of my love for classical music. I’m 39 years old, this music has been around for Hundreds of years and it needs to be preserved. I heard once that you die twice. Once in physical form, and when someone speaks your name for the last time. I hope Mozart and everyone who created such beautiful masterpieces will live forever through their name. This is actually my favorite piece because of the movie Amadeus.
