Why does the number 57 keep appearing in The Amazing Digital Circus?

Did you know this in the amazing digital circus?

Recently fans have picked up on the fact that the number 57 keeps appearing during episodes. So what does it mean?

So the number 57 appears in every episode so far. We see it on two blocks in episode 1. Caine says it during episode 2. And martha mildenhall mentions a 57 second story.

The number 57 signifies change, transformation, and spiritual growth.

The number has also appeared numerous times in goose’s old animations like elain the bounty hunter. So what’s going on, is this some sort of arg?

Well it’s an in joke between friends, and probably goose’s favorite number.

57 appears multiple times in another indie animated series called monkey wrench. On tumblr the creators were asked why the number keeps showing up, and they replied with a those who don’t know meme. Goose replied with an edit of this, reaffirming that she’s in on the bit.

We’ll just have to wait and see if it’ll have any actual plot relevance in later episodes.
