When is CA going to ban private jets, hmm?

Nobody remembers the smog alerts of the 70s? The air coming out of a modern cars tailpipe is cleaner than the air going in.

The end game is to restrict travel/freedom...it's death by 1000 cuts. In CA It is illegal for me to add fuel injection to my 81 chevy..has nothing to do with clean air.

RV parks and resorts like KOA have definitely exceeded the price people are willing to pay. I only use KOA's when I need to do laundry or if it's extremely close to what I am doing in the area. I never use the amenities unless it's a bar or restaurant. They have gone crazy with their pricing.

I bought diesel fuel in Bakersfield California last week at a Chevron station that was charging $5.159 per gallon. When I made it to Kingman Arizona, I pulled into a Smith's food store and diesel at the pump was $3.299. And then I had 80 cents in fuel points. So that dropped the price to $2.499! I don't know how people in California can afford those prices.

All of this silliness about a “zero emissions vehicle” needs to explained to those that don’t seem to get it. There is no such thing! Tires, brakes, bearings (grease), electric power plants, transporting parts and completed vehicles, paint, interior plastic parts, and thousands of other processes and components emit emissions of some type.

When RV sites are the same price or more than a hotel room then it’s overpriced. I planned an RV trip from Boise to San Francisco and back. After comparing costs it was quicker and cheaper to pay for hotels so we cancelled our RV trip - very simple economics.

100% correct on the max pricing at Jellystone resorts. We were going to stay at one on I-25 south of Denver and and it was going to be around $180 a night. I don't might paying up for a premium experience but that was unreasonable. If it was adjacent to Zion or Yellowstone I might have done it. It is nowhere special.

Class B prices in USA are ridiculously high compared to Europe.
The high relative price for size is a big reason, I believe for the higher decline in sales

I sometimes need to remind myself that I was born and raised in CA. I've been gone so long and miss it so little news from there barely registers.

I'm not surprised. I just avoid the Express Lanes always with my Class B. I got burned once. Never again. Thanks Jason.. Good job breaking down that Motorhome ban topic. I really feel for those Californians having to deal with those fuel prices.

Great follow up, thanks. Nice to have the background on Ca’s original “why”.

I think they should close La, San Fran Airports completely first. No jets in California Air Space.
I bought a brand new B Van in July. Prices are way down. Time to buy a second RV.

Just a reminder…over 8500 Lbs GVWR is also most 1 trucks…so they will likely compete for those offsets along with any RVs. 1/2 ton trucks and trailers may be become even more popular. Appreciate the update!

Here in Suumit County, Colorado (think Breckenridge) the town and county have purchased numerous electric buses. The first three went to the graveyard, at a cost of $1 million each. The others continue to be called Clean Energy Vehicles or Zero Emission Vehicles, but they are not! They get plugged in every night to recharge through Xcel Energy which produces 70% of their electricity via fossil fuels.
What a crock of stuff, as they say. And the local media just roll right into bed with these zealots.
