Goldfrapp is one of the most underrated groups of the 2000s music scene. They, Pharrell, and Timbaland basically invented the modern sound of electro-pop. This song, Strict Machine, Number 1, Utopia, Ooh La La, the list goes on. Alison even worked with Peter Gabriel for OVO.

Also, this song just oozes a sensual energy, like a slow, passionate grind with your lover under a moonlit sky after a candlelit dinner.

I was at this gig and it was absolutely magical. Mesmerising and tantalising. Their music just cuts deep into your soul. Great night.

Amazing that she sounds nearly the same live as she does in the studio versions. Such an underrated talent. They've definitely had some hits that were made popular when they were used in commercials and other media, but still seems like those moments are too fleeting. I'm disappointed Goldfrapp has never seemed to get much attention in the US.
