Love these. Just bought another pack.
I looked at a lot of dish sets before buying and I'm so glad I went with these. My girlfriend loves them too. I bought the gray - it's a nice bluish gray that I really like and is not too boring/flat. I just bought a box of the blue for variety, hopefully they'll match well. I'll update my review when they arrive.
What's so great about these dishes? Well, they look and feel good. Nice matte finish, rich color, the accent at the rim is just enough to be interesting without being gaudy. It's a bit more muted than the listing photos suggest. They're heavy enough to feel good, but not heavy enough to be annoying.
And the shapes are just great. First, I wanted cereal bowls not soup bowls. I just find them more useful, but they're rare to find in a set. And these are the perfect size/shape imo. The plates being flat all the way to the edge, then having an upturned lip provides way more usable space than a traditional shape. The lip is big enough to securely keep your food on the plate and prevent dripping sauces etc. But it's low enough that it doesn't get in the way of cutting, even right out at the edge.
