I'm so curious why you stitch between the two rows of ease stitching. I've never seen that, I always have put both rows on the seam allowance. And I'll tell you, the struggle is real. I have a terrible time easing in a sleeve cap without puckers. My pattern only has about 5/8" of ease but I still can't get it smooth - using an old sheet for a muslin. Would using your method help, do you think? Do you think that 5/8" is too much ease?

I look forward to your final muslin and your princess-line seam from the waist dart. Lots of great tips and hints included.
I desperately need a pants pattern. 'Store-bought' pants don't fit my not so perfect body.
