Samsung's 8K Glasses-Free 3D TV Blew Our Minds - CES 2015

We begin to change our minds about the whole 3D TV concept after spending time with Samsung's huge 8K, glasses-free 3D TV.

It's 2023 next week... I'm still geeking out at my grandma's 3d tv from 2009 in the basement that's just a 1080p screen polarized to 720 each eye with glasses for 3d and does 240hz

1080 to 4k is a huge difference ... but there is not a lot of content for it yet

There was the same problem with 3-D in the 1950s when it first came into the theaters. Even with the glasses the 3-D effect was best seen when sitting straight on to the screen. Later it was found that by using a different method of polarizing the film and the glasses and the 3-D effect could be seen at a wider angle. This same process may have to be done with the new glasses-free 3-D TVs.
