I remember vividly going to third grade after they won and the school was adorned with American flags and USA signs, sadly I highly doubt you'd see that in today's public schools. Watch the movie about this! Miracle on Ice was really great and uplifting for the country. This was the time when Iran had our hostages, and we needed good news! Love that the President honored the team!

Having watched that hockey team from day one and watch them finally win the gold medal was a day I will never forget. And this video it's awesome. Love the guys and Herb Brooks made history that day. Unlike the Olympic athlete up today who wants to denigrate our country these young men knew that the name on the front of the Jersey was a hell of a lot more important then the one on the back.
