Dave Chapman tells us .... "this was recorded 53 years ago by US Serviceman and DJ, Paul Drake of AFN Stuttgart, utilising a small portable portable tape recorder. Paul, who now resides in Chicago, has been a life-long friend. "Me and the Others", consisted of band leader and drummer Pete Dawkins (RIP), bass player Gary Thain (RIP), Vox Continental organist and guitarist Paul Muggleston, and myself Dave Chapman on lead guitar. We all set off on an adventure from New Zealand to the UK early in 1966 and gigged all over Britain, Wales and Scotland, eventually moving on to Munich and Stuttgart - and we had a blast! To this day Gary still has a big following and I want to share this with everyone. Thanks to all of the above who made this memory possible".
