My phone is the N900A basically from AT&T, will this work for it? Or do I have to unlock it in order to put CM 11?

Please help. I'm running touchwiz 4.3 and trying to install Cyanogenmod 11 via clockworkmod but whenever I try to install the zip, it says "this is for hltexx. this device is hlte. my device is n9005 hltexx I checked. If I install a Cyanogenmod rom for hlte for my hltexx device, will it still work?

For anybody that has done this, have you found any flaws or you might have found something that doesn't work? And also, how does one backup their data? Say like, GTAV files and other documents that are saved to your phone.

Hey, thank you for the excellent explanation. I have installed it and it works fine. the only problem i'm facing now is that i backed up my stuff through Kies before installing CM and when i wanted to restore it, Kies couldn't identfiy the device! i want my contacts back :(
