When I was first learning chinese I remember some of the sounds sounded so similar and I had a hard time telling them apart, but now after 2 and a half years, it’s so easy to tell them apart. So if you’re just learning know that it gets easier.

As a native speaker, I never realize Chinese is so hard to learn, I get lost when learning this video, I have to say, environment helps a lot than text books.

I'm a overseas Chinese who struggled since childhood to learn mandarin. I finally found an excellent teacher at my age of 57 years old 😆😆😆, then the pandemic came and classes were cancelled 😑.
I'm glad i found this channel! It's just exactly what my teacher was teaching. And just as organised and professional!
Since we are locked down again in Malaysia, maybe I can re learn my mandarin pinyin by the end of locking.

中文可太难了... 我现在才发现...
“Chinese is so hard, as a native speaker, I already forgot most of those sounds, but it doesn’t stop me from speaking fluent Chinese, think it as training wheels ☺️.”

I always had a difficult time differentiating the “xi” and “si” sounds, and the “r” sound was always so hard for me to make out. This made it so much clearer
