Logic Pro has no less than 7 EQs in its EQ folder. But the Channel EQ is kind of the epitome of the Logic experience. Here are some reasons why it rules.

Every day I learn something new about Logic and today was no different! So many people think they need expensive third party EQs but Logic has us well covered. Thanks for the great teaching content!

I have an embarrassing amount of 3rd party plugins. Many of these are well renowned and (of course) expensive. However, when I look at all my projects about 90% of them have Logic's Compressor and Channel Eq on them. These are incredible studio workhorse plugins and very CPU efficient.

This series is changing a lot of the ways I’m approaching the plugins. It’s only been a few days and I have gathered a LOT of information. Thanks so much for sharing this knowledge. 4:30 I’ve been using Logic for almost 6 years and I NEVER knew you could do this on the channel EQ. Can’t wait for more videos (I’m still catching up to the latest ones) to be uploaded! Again, thanks a lot 🙏🏽✨

Also when it comes to using the processing options of Stereo, Left Only, Right Only, Mid and Sides. If I wanted to use two different options in the same track, would I have to load another EQ instance?

MY NOTES:
Chanel EQ Features:
1. Left hand scale allows us to see more or less of frequency signal in the analyzer.
2. Click & hold node then hold "command" you lock node in place while making adjustments.
3. Click & hold node then hold option + command = lock node in place and change width/center frequency.
4. Chanel EQ Has presets for instruments (piano, guitar, vox, etc.)
5. Right click no EQ analyzer (turn off visual master gain)
6. Processing: R only, L only, Mid only, etc.

Good overview, thanks for that. What would you say how the Channel EQ compare sonically to 3rd party plugins Like Fabfilter?

Please help me, underneath Region and Track it's just completely blank and it didn't used to be. Right clicking doesn't do anything, I have no EQ or compressor options, no individual track output or stereo input sliders, etc.. Just nothing.

Dear Chris is it possible to turn "Visualize Master Gain" off for all Channel EQs at a time, or forever in some settings? Thank you for all these explanations, that's great!

This is where you should have explained the dual mono mode for Mid side eq. ...there are million dollar eq sold separately for doing this but Logic pro has this built in....How powerful is that ?
