There are 11 operating refineries in California. I've done work for most of them. It would be utterly hilarious to watch CA try to run these refineries. Private operators are reducing their exposure due to CA government hostility.

Oh, when the state negotiated electric rates on 30 year contracts at spot prices they locked us into the highest electric rates in the country. This will be the same.

I’m a lifelong Californian I’m 65 years old. I’m not sure what the state of California does well and now you’re telling me they’re gonna be an oil company or gasoline supplier God help us all.

In Venezuela, the refineries were taken over by the government and were so poorly run that it was cheaper to buy fuel from outside the country that it was to produce it is this what we want for California I don’t think so. That’s my opinion.

GET RID OF CARB!!! Sure, let's depend on gasoline from outside sources 100%. That's insanity and stupid.

This will be an absolute disaster. That anyone could think the politicians can effectively run the refineries with all the idealogical baggage they carry is crazy.

Having the State of California take over the refineries or the gasoline market itself? What could POSSIBLY go wrong with that?! The state already loses enough revenue on it's own without resorting to commodity speculation and dabbling in stuff they don't understand.

So you want the California government to buy gas from one retailer and sell it to another distributor in California. Sounds like a perfect why to drive prices up even more.

Why can't california just leave people alone. We don't want EV. I don't need the government.

Will the last business in CA please turn the lights off before you go?
Oh snap! Never mind, power’s out anyway!

California could keep the refineries operating if they got rid of the stupid state regulations that make operating a refinery unprofitable.

When you say "state "should buy it, you mean taxpayers' dollar.

If California goes into the fuel purchase business, will the purchased fuel have to be refined at the same "environment impact" and the same rules as fuel refined in California??

Grabem Screwsome should not run anything except a potato peeler in prison.

No, don't do it! Make our own. We don't need $10 gas.

The state should not be an oil business, and they should not be in the Speedrail business
