Localization of defence manufacturing esp too close to the Pak border and in an arid region with extreme seasonal variations of water availability .. is a significant risk. Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh must be actively considered as defence manufacturing bases as well. They are close to our steel mfg units, close to rail heads, have a power surplus, and have plentiful land with good drainage characteristics. High time to spread out the risk.

Why we are still using mf star radar I still can’t understand

Firstly, the Project 18 class destroyer designs are dated and lacks stealth character.
Secondly, Destroyer is heavily relying on the capabilities of Barak-8 and Brahmos which can be deadly in long run.
Thirdly, The destroyer lacks short range missiles like rolling frame (RIM-116) excellent for engaging sea screaming missiles.
Fourthly, the destroyer could have employed three storied X, L, S band radars in four directions similar to that of Lider class destroyer.
Fifthly, Indian Naval Research Bureau designers are novice and lacks creativity/vision. They are happy making cosmetic changes in others design and put their label 🏷️.

I don't know why 1st news is so significant..is this the 1st launch of a SLBM..if so then I have nothing to say..😶the submarine was commissioned way back in 2016.that means India took 6 years to launch a 750km range missile from submarine 🤔😑

It is possible India hiding actual range? k-15 means 1500 km range and k-4 means 4000 km range 🤔
