I stay in China and I can say if I were to buy a car here, I would most likely consider buying a BYD Han

Chinese companies have repeatedly shown how they learn and then make better designs. If not for US ban Hwawei would have toppled Apple as well. India needs to learn how to innovate by hiring the best and build manufacturing capabilities. It needs government, legal, financial and mindset changes.

I have seen BYD, drove a few different model, used as cab as well. They are extremely good they are extremely innovative. I haven't seen one of best available option than BYD

Companies like Xiaomi and Vivo which invested in India for over a decade, are the friends and wind of Indian Future. Yet, Indian governments, at central and local levels, ended up killing them with outrageous tax claims and even arrest for ransom. At the end, these companies that BELIEVE IN INDIA, have no choice but to leave. And no, Indians companies won't come in to fill the void. They just run the same old same mediocre companies with low quality products. Without the good competition from Chinese companies, Indian companies will just slack off.

Now of course, India should not let Xiaomi or Vivo run without constraint. But as long as they run a fair game, India shall let them be, and at the same time, supports Indian companies to compete head on. The right way to grow is not lock yourself in and pretend nothing is happening, but face the challenge and WELCOME the challenge.

Do you know where is the Tesla giga factory with highest output? It is the Shanghai factory in China. China is open for competition based on Market. Market competition makes the companies in China strong. Actually there is no subsidy for electrical cars already in China since the begining of 2023.
