Just to leave more info here 🤍 Onyx is such a durable and beautiful piece, besides the fingerprints and the need to clean quite often it will withstand the test of time and regular use, van cleef does not offer the sweet size in Onyx but I believe that would bring the best of both worlds (being smaller would allow to show less the fingerprints etc so I kinda wish we had the option as I would prefer it) the mother of pearl is a delicate stone that is prone to loose its shine and possibly shrink when it comes to contact with water, this is something to absolutely consider when you decide to buy it, the Mother of pearl does come in the vintage & sweet size.

I watched your first Video on your Van Cleef necklaces before I made my purchase. I purchased the vintage Alahambra in Onyx at the store in NYC. Absolutely love it! I wear more black, so this color was perfect for me. I purchased the sweet MP in Paris over the summer and I love this one too. Glad to have two different styles. Your reviews are spot on and definitely helped me make my decision to purchase. You also have me layering my necklaces😂.

I had MOP in vintage and I sold it 😒because is wasn’t as practical as I thought it will be. Plus it’s always tangles when I wear it with my diamond short necklace …. Pretty high maintenance peace . So I really like sweet Alhambra MOP now. It’s dainty and so so versatile 🥰

I wish they had an intermediate size. I have two sweet size pendants that I absolutely love but I would also like something a bit bigger. However, I find the vintage size is not dainty enough. I also don't like the fact the pendant doesn't move. It makes me nervous when it doesn't sit right in the middle so I would have to adjust it constantly 😞

Lou, also It seems the mother of pearl is glued into the setting - there are no prongs, so I really would err on the side of caution when showering with it. We're not perfect, but I'd also be concerned about the glue getting soft...
I've been considering the sweet butterfly pendant vs the Lucky alhambra butterfly (I just love that its butterfly and not common) so this video helps as it also pertains to 2 sizes. That's the only branded fine jewelry I want. I also recently got a lab tennis bracelet, its just so much more ethical. The bracelet you have is lovely! I prefer the 2ct size you have though just because I'd be worried about being robbed for the 7ct one. Then again, you usually carry a Birkin so I think you are rather safe anyway.

Lovely set! Great video. I’m want the sweet Alhambra mother of pearl. If the mother of pearl is made for children I would think they would make it more durable. I don’t plan on taking mine off. I never take my gold jewelry off.

I don’t believe van cleef makes the sweet pendant in onyx. They only make the sweet ear studs in onyx. I believe the sweet collection pendant is made in carnelian, MOP, hammered gold and diamond

You do know that diamonds are 90% manufactured today... and are worth 10% of what you pay at the store. Yes your certificate will state what you paid but you can also pay real prices if you buy from Surat India, the place where most diamonds come from
