I can’t thank you enough for this straight forward video!
I don’t need to know the history of the shut off valve or tutorial of how to use a crescent wrench.
This was short, sweet, and to the point. And I thank you!

Thank you. I ended up having to cut the inlet pipe with my pipe cutter to replace the valve. Wasn't a problem with the compression sleeve valve. Tools pipe cutter and new valve all in $30 maybe under. Plumber was $50 just to walk in the door. Satisfaction of doing it yourself; Priceless. Thanks again.

Thanks for the simple video. A few more tips to add in case you are having issues. I just installed a few of these and they both leaked a tiny amount. I thought it was because I tightened them too much - apparently you can do this. So, I removed them and to my surprise, the compression ring wasn't even compressed. I removed them, deburred the pipe again and sanded it better to clean off. This time, I added pipe thread compound to the compressing ring and to the threads (not to seal them, but so I could get more consist ant torque on the nut. I hand tightened, and then tightened maybe another another 1/4 turn (90 degrees) with a wrench. No Leaks this time.
