Many years ago, reading Great Controversy for the third of fourth time, I noticed how in the chapters preceding 'Modern Revivals' she wrote of William Miller reasoning from the Scriptures while in Modern Revivals we have comments on preachers at that time using the emotional and sensational as their way to reach people. Then she goes on with a discussion on how the Ten Commandments are still valid. I believe some of Adam's quotes in this video are from that discussion. I realized that 'modern' to her being 1888, meant the trend toward all the crime and lawlessness we have today started then. And how did it start? With the fact that as the Seventh-day Adventists preached the true Sabbath further and wider, more and more preachers had to adopt the "Law is done away" doctrine to be able to stay with Sunday. The watered down gospel that began to be taught in the late 1800's kept being repeated in every generation since.

There's another error that also plays in that I'm not sure if she ever wrote on. That being the idea that doctrinal differences don't matter and the love of Jesus is all you need. So with these two errors, by the time we got to the 1960's, we had a group of young people who took it further and said if there's no difference between a Baptist and a Lutheran, then there's no difference between Jesus and Buddha. And they left the churches their parents took them to.

Combine these two ideas and what do you get? Right wing evangelicals who are so upset at Hollywood, the media and the intellectual elites for things like gay marriage marijuana and abortion are in fact the cause of the success the left have had in taking over what were once Christian societies. Psalm 125:3 "For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest On the land allotted to the righteous, Lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity."
