I like how the guy was "intimately" acquainted with the moon's craters, but didn't know they were different depths

A real shame that such nice animation style and quality is being wasted trying to convert people into joining a cult.

I remember watching his first video on "the history of earth" when I was 7 and thinking, man, this is a really good fantasy world build.

This sounds like what would happen if Wicca and scientology had a child

But this can't be a cult, because he has Space Jews.

Seriously though, Jordan teaches some very cultish things, and many of the things he says isn't just wrong, but its outright dangerous. And we need more skeptics like you pointing out this crap.

Thanks Telltale.

Your answer to the question 'where does he get this information?', is his arse.

Also their avatars are cute, •-• they are trying to get people with cuteness.

oh shit, that actually scared me. I used to believe that things he said and im glad I got out of it quickly. ive never actually been in the way of a cult, but hearing that this philosophy is a cult scares me.

What's your opinion on Veggie Tales? As a catholic who grew up with it, I don't think it's blatant religious propaganda, but is still a lesser form of propaganda. Also your videos are really interesting. Love your channel!

Is it a cult if it has no dogma and no authoritative structure? Like I disagree with what he’s saying about moon, but just because he’s incorrect and explaining his argument as if he knows what he’s talking about, doesn’t make it a cult. And this video doesn’t ask for people to leave family and scorn other views, and it doesn’t make any claims that Jordan should be in charge of everyone who agree with him. Like, just because he’s very wrong doesn’t make it a cult, it just makes him deluded. I also specifically went to his page, and his description contains a disclaimer that his channel should be about discussion, not dogma. And even that is just lip service, until this moves from a youtube channel to an actual authoritative structure, it’s not a cult.

1:52 Okay, so, I haven't gotten past this part yet, and I know your channel, so judging by your content, I suppose the things they say are going to get worse, but until this point... I think you're in the wrong, honestly.

"There is no scientifical way of knowing the earth's gender" well duh, man, it a symbolical term... Not everything people say has to be interpreted straight forward, like a lot of people seem to believe nowadays.
The reason so many people make nature/ the earth a female and the sun, a male, is because it seems close to the way a couple works: the mother, is the one who conceives the child, with the smaller, but still important contribution from the father.

And the use of the term "energy" isn't by its dictionary definition either: it is supposed to mean soul energy, in a sense. That thing that keeps you going, in the interpretation of the people who believe beings have to be more than just robots made of flesh, and need an essence of sorts.

So in the same way people have this soul and this energy surrounding it, so does that guy say has the moon and the sun, and the earth.

Though I don't think that "energy" defines gender, I can understand where he's coming from and I think your instant argument that pretty much just said "it's stupid because it isn't science" is unfair. And that you haven't fully understood the meaning of those words before coming up with it.

I know this comment section's literally made up of 99% atheists and skeptics and that my comment, if it will be noticed will for sure not be well received, but eh.

I still do enjoy your videos though, because even if I do disagree with some points you bring up in them, what you stand for is still better than the religious extremism craziness of some people. :]

I must bring up: NASA DID mention how the moon "rang like a bell." It even mentions that on NASA's website. The reason it reverberated so long though is because earthquakes and moonquakes operate differently. For one, the Earth's crust is much softer whereas the moon's is made up of solid rock. Therefore, the rock of the moon's surface allowed the vibrations to resonate more. Even though they were right about this, a very simple explanation debunked their conspiracy.

When I was becoming a atheist(Starting to realize the bullshit in the bible) I started watching spirit science videos and agreed with them because I was a kid, thank god(pun intended) I got over it.

I almost got sucked into this at around age 13-14? It’s honestly scary how much I believed in it - I really thought that I could unlock my DNA to get a third sense. (or something along those lines. It was awhile ago)

Thankfully it only lasted around.. 5 month? Still an intimidating thought to think that my own mother and father (Who I began to preach this nonsense to) couldn’t even get me to snap out of it. Eventually I myself came to my senses, when the date I was supposedly meant to unlock my DNA- just didn’t happen.

I’m so grateful I didn’t get super involved in this!

I'm a pagan and I combine science and spirituality but a lot of the mystical stuff around the moon and stars and sun I use is figurative, lol. I love science, especially astronomy.

Spirit Science actually believes in a guy that would probably believe the V Miniseries is a documentary about literal lizard people and not an allegory for the Nazi invasions in 1930s-1940s.

Also, not all moon deities are female! In Shinto mythology, Tsukiyomi is the God of the moon. But because of Diana/Artemis being the Goddess of the Moon in Greek/Roman Mythology and how she is a popular deity to use in Wicca, most of new age people think the moon is “female.”
