Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has told the country’s MPs that he could not agree to the "absurd" and "unrealistic" proposals of the EU. But he claimed to be closer to an agreement "than ever before".

I have to point out that when there is a greek person speaking in the video and there is a translation voiceover in english, they do not match to a very large degree.

The Greek Minister's English was fantastic here.
Impressive no doubt, she'll do good for Greece.

As I keep stating, most of Greece's debt was created as a result of the Greek government committing tax evasion with the help of Goldman Sachs & lying to the European Union & Commission so they could get into the Euro Zone. However, the European Union's response to the Greek debt crisis since 2010 has been retarded; the European Union's Austerity programme (Although it only caused a small fraction of the current Greek debt.) did play a role in today's Greek debt crisis & has only made the problem worse. Also, as I have stated before, I vehemently support the European Union & its institutions & I have defended them from unreasonable criticisms of the extreme Eurosceptic crowd & anti EU movements. The European Commission & the European Union  usually do a far better job protecting workers, consumers, the environment, human rights, civil liberties, minorities & democracy from the evils of American style corporatism, Russian style authoritarianism & the other elements which make up most if not all of my opposition. This does not mean that the European Commission & the European Union is exempt from criticism from me. They are far better, more progressive, less bought off by rich people & corporations less corrupt than the United States & Russia are. However, this does not mean that they are immune from my own criticism & that does not mean I support their Austerity Programme which has been one of the biggest & most horrible mistakes in the history of the European Commission & the European Union.
