I really liked the Morpholith album for 2024.

For a moment, I thought that the vocalist of Mother of Graves was Dan Swano.

While yet to have properly checked out each of these releases, and by no means being a "true this or that subgenre" fanatic: how on _earth_ would you deem A Mother of Graves as _funeral doom_ ?

The tempo is simply _way too fast_ to fit the _signature_ quirks of funeral doom - and such grouping would render most of all death doom bands "funeral", leaving the entire purpose of using such classifications rather meaningless.
It would mean that most of the death doom material from the likes of Katatonia and My Dying Bride should be considered the same.
And that would simply be confusing.

The reason Hail Darkness sounds so evil is because it’s AI, none of it is real it’s just an amalgamation of doom metal tropes. The guys behind it have even made an article about it.
