Skater XL is sorta fun again

It has been actual MONTHS since I've touched Skater XL, so I wanted to step back in and see if I've been missing anything. I haven't. Sure, I'm a little salty that the game never got the updates that myself and the community wanted to see, but that being said, after some time away from the game, it is still a fun pick up and play skateboarding game. I still wouldn't consider it a skateboarding simulator like Session is, but it is a fun game nonetheless. What are your guys' thoughts on Skater XL lately?

Spacing out your time playing these games is huge. I got so burnt out and sick of Session that i stopped playing it for months. Taking time away enough to stop taking the game so seriously helped so much

It’s hard to break from these games cause the stick controls are kinda hard to remember if you play other games but going back and forth is a challenge for me at least cause I forget the controls and what not sometimes

I played skater xl forever then caved and got session now I don’t even have skater xl anymore lol. Love the vids

Lots of things have been added with some of the mods such as fros mod, boned Ollie mod, etc. if you ever need help getting stuff back to feeling nice never hesitate! Great vid glad to see some posts on the live channel

ya the grab update broke some of my favorite grabs like methods, but the crail grabs look sick lol

Vanilla game I'd say session for the stats slider to make it look nicer but the game itself looks a lil clunky but with mods skater xl since you can download a stance and stats slider to change everything since xl looks a bit nicer

dude tell me why I went thru the same thing XD. but for me UnityModManager broke my mods after the September update. It always feels SO GOOD coming back o Skater XL tho after a long break !!

Everytime I take a break from session when I come back I get so hooked and film lines for hours, not so much on xl but that’s just cause on console it’s just not very good lol

Coming from a skaterxl day one player and then a session full release day one player, session is the better sim. Everyone has their own opinion and they are both great games but session is the more “realistic” skate sim. Playing skater xl on console it’s too floaty and like you said Arcady. Session is more advanced and something to learn and know the way of skating to get. I have a special place for skaterxl because when it came out it was great but anyone hating on session, LEARN it you’ll love it I promise.
