This is chapter 1 of NCERT Geography Class 6 Textbook titled The Earth in the Solar System where I have talked about celestial bodies seen in the night like stars, planets and constellations. One such constellation which has been very important to mankind since ancient times is Sapta Rishi/Big Bear/Ursa Major which shows us the direction of the North Pole. The sailors in the oceans waited for the nights to have a look at the sky to get an idea of directions.
