Strike King KVD Wake Bait Review

The Strike King Wake Bait has become one of my favorite lures for inshore saltwater fishing!

Traditionally, this lure has been mostly used for freshwater bass.

But lately, it has proved to be a secret weapon for me in saltwater.

Strike King Wake Baits have helped me land tournament-winning fish and are a great addition to your tackle box during the warmer months.

I recommend adding this lure to your tackle arsenal to beef up your approach this summer and dial in on those larger fish lurking in the shallows.

Be sure to head over to our shop and grab Wake Bait lures today!

I got the gizzard shad version and caught my 1st Largemouth today on it. It's awesome and it never gets old watching the fish blow up on a lure!

Never mind I seen where you said you have tried it but I think it works the best that’s just my opinion

Wow. I can honestly say one of the best reviews of a bait that I have seen on YouTube. I fish Charlotte harbor and use that very wake bait. I’m going to change out my trebles to single hook now. 👊🏼👊🏼

Try the 6 sense 80wk wake bait. It’s incredible
Rides the top but it’s a little longer and slimmer.

Where do you like to throw a wake bait? High tides over oysters, flats, etc?

What do you use to cast it? What power and action rod? Reel? Line? Leader? Thanks!

Thanks very helpful information. Nice video work as well. Are you using braid with a leader or straight fluorocarbon? Also what size inline hook are you using to replace the trebles?

Here in NE FL (jacksonville) the water can be pretty murky / muddy. What color would you suggest?

Do you use a loop knot and do you remove the split ring above the bill?

Really glad you talked about replacing the hardware for something that is better suited to saltwater. I've had great success with snook and redfish on them. Jack crevalle tear them up too. I like the bait because you can lower your rod tip and get it to run 6-10" below the surface or keep the rod up to work the surface. It can make a huge difference.
