Today we’ll take a quick first glance at some very weird mountain bike and bicycling products. These are by no means thorough reviews, as the main purpose is for entertainment. The other purpose is to show you everything about a product so you can decide for yourself if it’s worth looking into.

Lithium Ion Bike Pump
Upon further reflection, I might use this

Fillmore Valves
Premium clog-resistant tubeless Valve Core

Rescue Straps
This is marketed as a way to carry a broken bike, but it would be better for hiking very long impassable routes

Emergency Bleed Kit
Self Enclosed bleed funnel you can take with you

Extra Light Grips

Riley Ramps
Portable Bike Ramps of various styles

Passchier Bamboo Handlebars
I wildly misread the price on these, but they’re still worth it in my opinion

Delta Stwap Gear Strap
Interesting Gear Strap

Berm Peak Hoodies, Beanies, Jerseys, Shirts

The bamboo handlebars are NOT $100 (they're over $200), that was a miscalculated currency conversion on my part, but they're still worth it in my opinion. On the bike carrying strap, I think the biggest problem is the marketing. There are, in fact, reasons to carry a bike, but to call it a rescue strap and base it on a story about a guy with a broken bike makes no sense. I also forgot to mention that bleed funnel is only for Shimano or Sram, and I needed to use an adapter for my TRP brakes. I hope they make more variations because it's cool!

Great video.

Side note: just another reason why I’m not sold on tubeless. Clogged valves, ugh.

For the bike backpack strap, I have once had a situation where I would use it. My chain got stuck between my spokes and cassette, half an hour of work would not get it unstuck. Since I don’t carry a chain whip, I hiked it out ~5 miles.

And I would never, ever carry that strap. I could (and did!) just carry my bike out awkwardly.

3:43 the milk it valves do the same thing but are cheaper
I ran them for a while
They kinda work, but when do clog up you're screwed
special valve cores and harder to clean than normal valves

Love these vids Seth! As a bike shop rat, it's a great way to find quality utilitarian products that fill a niche and empty space on the display wall. Plus, your raised eyebrow rhetorical question humor is hilarious... not to mention the Three Stooges-esk camera shots. Keep it up please. You're one of my favorites!

I have such a bike pump. I love them. Enough for 4 MTB tyres. I use them for all my bikes to have the exact amount of pressure I want. I can ride up the mountain with my XC, reduce pressure, ride down the trail, increase pressure, do it again.

I would love to see a similar product to the emergency bleed kit but made just to house extra chain lube. I've got caught a couple of times in short rain storms only to have my chain completely dry from lube the rest of the way home.

I would love that carry thing one time.
My chain just --- broke in half one day. One of the links got worn out and I didn't check it because i assumed everything is fine (bike wasn't used for 6 months). I just get on it - chain falls and then it breaks as i notice it falling and - it just gets entwined in the back axle, so I can't use any cool tricks and have to actually carry the dumb thing.
super fun experience, thankfully i was a mile away from home

13:52 the price on those bamboo bars made me pull out my 10th Dr impersonation.
That’s an insane price for such a pretty piece of work.

That strap thing to put a bike on your back...maybe it cpuld be useful when exploring land that hasnt been trail broken, crossing rivers, climbing up or down bluffs / cliff faces. I still would just carry my bike or use ropes to hoist it up, but there are times when I have had to leave my bike locked to a tree in the middle of the woods because there is unbikable terrain between me and my destination. I like to get to crazy spots for fishing, and almost always prefer to bring my bike. Find some pretty wild spots to ride out in the middle of nowhere.

I know this video is pretty old, but I have tried those valves and have to say that while the concept is nice there are some issues:

1- there is no locking feature for the valve (screw down like a presta) so without the caps it’s iffy. Not that big of a deal

2- and this one left out on trail walking- your sealant can clog the closing feature at the bottom of the valve in the open position causing air loss. In my case the fibers in the sealant had gotten wrapped around the poppet and they would closing all the way

I would like to point out that I carry a full tool set and replacement derailleur hanger in my saddle bag wherever I go. Unfortunately, once I wrecked my derailleur so badly that I couldn’t limp back to the trail head on it and part of the derailleur jammed/locked up my rear wheel. The only thing that I didn’t have In my toolkit (which I do have now) was a chain tool. I had to carry that bike for a long time before I caught up with a ATV driver that had a multi tool that I could pop the master link with. From there I was able to take the mangled derailleur off and coast back to the trailhead. I personally don’t have a desire to keep the strap with me while riding but if you are in a club or large group and are traveling somewhere relatively isolated having one on hand could be useful in the event that one member needs it. I understand that it is a relatively niche market and that as such the product may struggle to sell but it could be useful occasionally.

Also, love the channel! Your videos are always thought provoking, entertaining, and educational.

The Bamboo handlebars belongs on a beach cruiser chopper style bike.
Think a cruiser chopper style ebike could be a cool next build

They should make all the components of a bike (where possible) out of bamboo so you can have an all bamboo bike.
Yes, even the saddle will be made out of bamboo!

The bike strap looks amnazing for carying a bike, while on a bike. For a friend or from the shop or whatever

So i snapped an axle in half on one ride..😅 that one required a walk of shame out of the trail and up some unfortunately steep mountain

The only issue I'd have with that ramp is the inability to magic it together to save time. 😉 IYKYK
