What you ment was "We can't guarantee studying economics will make you wealthy, but You will know why you are poor".

Economics tends to be a controversial topic, so it will be interesting to see how this channel will handle it.

Perfect timing because I'm going to start my AP Macroeconomics class next school year!

I hope all the economic ideologists in the comments actually learn that the field of economics has a lot more consensus that disagreement and what the are seen as ideologies are just different perspectives on economic mechanisms.

Here is some information to start you off:
1. Smith, Keynes, Marx are not really in opposition to each other in terms of the mechanics of economics where the same knowledge is shared (there are long time gaps between the men's works).

1a. Smith codified the basic supply/demand interaction and stated he thought that supply drove demand due to his experience of living in the massive English industrial boom. It turned out to be only partially correct.
1b. Keynes refined the supply/demand mechanic noting that demand creates the capacity that attracts supply. It rounded out the basic structure but still lacked the rigour of science had for analysing data sets.
1c. Marx didn't like distilling of economic force and wealth into the hands of a minority so he tried to come up with a managed system to counter the effect of market capture and capital monopoly that tried to democratise market forces. It turned out to be an impractical approach.

2. Read studies (including their methodologies and preferably the data) not slogans and try to avoid anything that makes economics sound like there are simple one perspective fixes to large, complex problems.

3. The vast majority of politicians and economic advisers to politicians don't have even an undergraduate level of education in economics. They sell snake oil.

You two look great and comfortable with the camera. It is kind of annoying when some people are learning the ropes or even a new presentation method. You two seem to be on top of it though and that is a huge relief. I've been dying for this CC for a while now. Can't wait!

Mr. Clifford from the channel ACDC Leadership is the bomb. I watched his videos before every AP Macro test, and it helped so much. I'm surprised and very glad to have him on the Crash Course crew. Made my day!

Here's hoping that they bring in analyses of different topics from multiple ideological viewpoints throughout the series instead of a whole series of neo-liberal economics and then one episode for everything else.  You can even use the co-host dynamic!  Both discuss the mainstream neo-liberal/Keynesian interpretation, then one can offer a Marxist criticism, and the other an Austrian criticism, or something along those lines.
