⚡ See how knowledge gained from molten salt tests, built in a garage, sort of looking like beer kegs, has become a full-scale test platform for Copenhagen Atomics ⚡

In this video, join Ben, one of our brilliant Loop Engineers at Copenhagen Atomics, as he unveils the culmination of rapid innovation cycles and knowledge gained from designing, building, testing and breaking molten salt nuclear technology. Bringing us rapidly closer to a full-scale molten salt reactor.

Want to help? Consider sharing our videos, subscribe to our channel and turn on the notification bell to stay updated on the latest developments on the Copenhagen Atomics waste burner. It helps us grow our business and technology if the channel keeps growing.

Correction: The video mentions that 6.1 is classified as a full-scale molten salt test reactor. However, it is a full-scale molten salt test reactor prototype.

I've been aware of Thorium reactors for about 10 years now & could never understand why there hasn't been a mad rush on it's development. Glad to hear someone is trying to make it work. Can be used anywhere on the planet. The uses are limitless.

"With all the wrong tools" - very Aussie humour. Especially in the outback mine site crews.

🎉 wild to see the progress you guys are making. I love it 👌

Brilliant. Now we need certain other Aussies to embrace and place pre-orders. Keep up the great work.

What are the relevant skills and/or degrees that one would need to contribute to this industry? I would consider going back to college if it meant working on something actually meaningful and productive like this.

You guys are inspiring, I wish you success.

Try hard fail fast. Learn. Try again until you succeed. Great for developing stuff. Love this way. It is exiting. But please, unlike SpaceX do not make things explode.
Cheers mate. With all my heart i hope you People succeed.

Greetings and congratulations on ur 6.1 milestone. How far out for a production plant ?

Is the output Steam, Electrical or both and at what power and Energy levels. 10MW-10GW-hr would be nice.

I want to come work with you guys. I do social engineering to get people over the conditioned response the oil companies have drilled (doh!) into them. I've worked at the senior level inside Nike, Walmart and a dozen others. Let's go.

I really want to invest in Copenhagen Atomics!

I’ve been a ‘believer’ in Thorium Floride molten salt reactors for many years but believe the limitation as in the material science of tge oumps and pipes as the salts are very corrosive especially under heat and pressure- has Copenhagen Atomics cracked the material science?? 🤞🤞

"Cut and Try" - It's impressive that this isn't just another "paper" reactor.

I had a thought about the Tritium that a LFMSR produces. Burn the Tritium to condense into very heay water then add the radioactive Tritium heavy water to your heavy water moderator. The reactor is already radioactive a bit more from the Tritium should be ok. Also you can sell the Tritium very heavy water to the Fusion reactor companies.

we have been talking about this for years when will see a commercial product

Seems to my what is needed is a working reactor somewhere in the world.

But when are you actually planning on putting energy on the grid at scale? Is this a 40 years from viability type of situation

I think it was mentioned that the reactor produces power continuously.
This could be an issue because electricity demand is not constant.
So I suggest build a CO2 scrubber that harvests CO2 from the atmosphere and converts into Methanol.
Power the scrubber only with the electricity thatis in excess to the current demand so the scrubber ia a ballast or electric load balance. Plus you can sell the Methanol as a green fuel. Any excess Methanol can be pumpback into the oil fields.

I believe the Lithium in a LFMSR reactor produces Trutium. Tritium is both toxic and radioactive.
Harvest the Tritium as Tritium is used in the Proposed Fusion reactors.
You already have heavy water so you have Duterium. So now yiu have the ingredients fir DT fusion reactor.
But a Fusion reactor is very very difficult. Suggest you leave that to others.

Loud and disjointed background music competes with your speaker. Low production value is the result in an otherwise good promotional video.
