Gaga and Christina are both very talented vocalists who can do multiple musical styles and genres. Although I slightly prefer Christina's raspy, soulful tone; technically speaking Gaga is almost like a force of nature. So I'd say it's a tie.

It's not always about technique and range. I'm sure Xtina would slay almost anybody if she was vocally trained like Gaga. Xtina was self taught and she was born with her gift since day one. Yeah Gaga can hold better notes longer but that doesn't make her a better singer. Gaga can belt better but she can't do runs and head voice like Xtina. I'm not hating on Gaga I'm just tired of everyone bashing Christina when both of them have lived two completely different lives and they both made it this far in the music industry. Two incredibly amazing vocalists who have the most underrated voices, especially Xtina!!

Gaga wins this easily the resonance she has in the fifth octave is just something Xtina will never reach. I will say that Xtina's tessitura is slightly higher but they're both Mezzo's and Xtina also completely takes it when it comes to agility.

Gaga is vocally trained! (Technical singer)
Christina is NOT trained but is naturally gifted with vocal abilities (Soul singer)

Of course gaga has a better technique. She is much better at belting bc unlike christina she had vocal lessons. But remember those gaga times before the whole jazz album?? I love gaga but christina had the natural ability to sing the way she does now since she was 5 years old...she worked on her voice throughout the years HERSELF, taught herself by listening to old records yet she always managed to be compared and put against one of the best TECHNICAL singers out there and be respected by them. (among them gaga herself btw) Xtina=natural talent. Now I'm not saying gaga is not naturally gifted bc obviously she is too but christina is just much more superior on that. Imagine gaga without vocal lessons!! Exactly she would be compared with the kinds of katy perry or other mediocre singers! Christina on the other hand has an insane falsetto and low register alone WITHOUT being trained. Her tone and her versatility...her timbre are golden. Her belting might not always be technically speaking proper or healthy but the rasp she puts intentional to her voice, and her powerful notes are complimenting her "soul". So yea Christina is the definition of a soul singer. The voice of her generation!! (Etta james: "she's an old soul!") And gaga is just one of the best technical singers out there right now.

So this note to note comparison is kinda off in my opinion. That's like comparing running fast to flying!

I love both Christina and Gaga, both are extremely talented, its unfair comparing one artist with another, each musician is unique and embodies special ability in singing. To those who says Christina screams only, you are wrong, that's a chest voice, its called belting in chest voice, and if you have doubt go and scream those high notes like Christina, than you will know what belting is, you will run out of breath in just one note, she is Christina so many artist worldwide respect's her in Music Industry.Last but not the least Xtina has a super high head voice along with her incredible chest voice and her flawless Melissa and her famous riffs and runs which only she execute very well, she is timeless, even though her critiques criticizes her, her talent and legacy is undeniable and one day all those wannabe vocal judges will choke with their own criticism and that I guarantee
