I only use the Denman for detangling…never could style quite right with it. Stella this haircut frames your bone structure so beautifully!

i think you would really love it more if you cut off the rest of the heat damage. your face can definitely carry it and the curls would pop more

One technique I learned with the Denman brush is to brush it through a section, and right before you let the hair go, you grab and hold the hair above the brush, and then proceed to comb the rest of the way and you give the piece You're holding a tiny shake or wiggle. It helps mold the curls better than the brush alone straight through. I hope that wasn't confusing. Lol

Pattern is the best for those with curly coily hair. That is what I use

Add ur products on sopping wet hair and use Denman brush and see if it makes a difference

There is still a tiny bit of damaged ends that aren't curling. You can rock anything and natural is always best imo because it's you!

Adorbs, my grow-out looked like yours. So cute and flirty. Unfortunately I'm in the horrid triangle stage, it's the worst, lol
finger waves are great for growouts, curls are stronger when they're clumped together. Excited to watch your journey.
Thank you for sharing🙏💖

For me, the best thing I can do is put my products in and let it air dry & leave that thang alone lol…I go thru my “ugly caterpillar” phase before my hair transforms into a “beautiful butterfly”(yes I’m quoting A Bugs Life on the latter)..Also after wash day if my hair isn’t “givinggg”, I detangle & make sure I moisturize with some water and a little bit of product & again, air dry & leave that thang alone. It helps with my frizz. As ref, my curl pattern is between 3A-3C..depending on my hairs mood lol…1 more thing..I say no to brushes & detangle with my good ol fingers…reiterating this is what works for me so may not work for yourself or others but I hope some of this helps 💚

I'm SO glad you changed products!! I wanted to suggest a change, but you were following your stylist's instructions. Also the curls DO pop more now!!

I used pattern for a week and it dried my hair out so much. I wouldn’t recommend it but whatever works for you girl!

If your hair is drying puffy when using the Denman brush I think it could be your hair is too dry in the roots. I don't like the Denman brush it pulls my hair too much. I love the tangle teaser for curly hair. It has a handle not the smaller one you hold in your palm. Only other thing I think is the product is not evenly distributed.

Use a wide tooth comb when you style it, the brush is good for detangling in the shower or outside of it, then when you put your product in only use the comb...I have the same hair!!!

I love that brush. I can't say it works for curls but for detangle very coarse texture hair it's a winner

denman is best for separating curls and detangling. it separates curls best for me when my hair is soaking wet and a good amount of products. (im heavy handed and squeeze excess

Some of your ends are real straight and need to get cut off so your hair will stay curly. Did you have a perm in your hair if so cut the straight ends off and the curls in your hair will stay curlier.

You might like a denman brush with less bristles! Maybe it's separating the curls too much? Might also be able to take every other row out of the one you have. Might not be the solution, but just a thought!

You need to spray your hair w water as you style it but try not to touch your hair too much without product. That’s why there’s frizz. Supposed to brush while hair is somewhat damp and let it air dry into it’s natural pattern (minimize touching w barehands).
