I hate how they gave mid or underpowered defenders a 1.5, which made them be picked way more, then nerfed other parts of their kit, and then removed the 1.5 without giving them a buff. Like Alibi, for example.

Thorn is slept on, if you know how to place her traps properly and use her secondary gadgets to utilize her razor blooms then its easy to get a few kills with just a gadget alone. you don't just throw her gadget in random spots. utilize the ceiling and the shield and wire to slow down attackers, utilize her gadget on the stairs. She gets hate over a skill issue.

IMO, the Trajectory Pre-Vis is a buff to Thorn as well. Or at least an anti-nerf.

Because her Razorblooms spin when thrown, it was tricky to get them into tighter spaces, or accidentaly hit map geometry you weren't aiming for.

While I agree her gadget needs a buff (either shorter trigger delay, or shorter wind-up time), I have LOTS of fun playing her.

Now that razorwire damages Attackers, they'll usually take the time to melee it, assuming they don't have a gadget for that. Set up a Razorbloom in a blindspot, and even if you don't kill, or even injure them, you and your team will know roughly where they are!

It's a deadly little Proximity Sensor.

She also pairs GREAT with other trap ops, like Kapkan or Lesion.

Set up a Razorbloom outside a trapped door, and most Attackers might panic and rush in before clearing the Kapkan traps, and boom! Or a lesion mine can slow them down just enough to not escape the radius!

Weak? Sure!
Weakest? Maybe.

Useless? Not by a mile!

As a thorn main who kept maining her since solar raid because of the nice uzk gun was, I was happy that she got a 1.5 but then it sadly got removed, her gun is still very strong and hard hitting imo still and her ability can be used with any slow down operators/ barbed wires

3:55, low picked operator? She’s doing better than a considerable amount of them, she is statistically balanced. I get that her gadget is meh but in a frag heavy meta her gun is great even with a lack of acog

The only time I saw people fighting for her was in the y9s1 test server where she had an acog

you have something missing. they gave 1.5 to the thorn because a new thorn elite was coming. After the elite reliase they removed it. so it was a scam. This is a big thing that you didnt mention in the video.

Good buff for her would be to make gadget bulletproof when IT is in activation mode and its about to explode. Something like IT is with Flores drones

I think giving her 5 gadgets would help her a lot. Makes it so you have good sound queues at least. You’d also cover more ground like Kapkan. Or make it more like kapcan where it automatically goes off if you’re in the radius and reduce dmg taken to like 75-50 depending on how close

its really easy to buff her, give her 6 of her gadget, reduce the timer to explode it by 75% but it deals way less damage, since it will became almost instant, make it deal 30 damage or so (independent of the distance). She will be like kapkan, but a bit less OP. Here's why, ever since its triggered by distance, you HAVE to trigger one first before the other one, so one razor will always destroy another one, so you will need to spread them in the bomb site and use it to gather more intel and hurt the attackers.

Just give her a machine pistol and 5-6 razor blooms. If the gadget is so weak that its useless, its undeniable having more of them would atleast help her control an area of the map better.

imo thunderbird is 10x more useless then thorn, since rook does her job but at the start of the round, and her c4 being gone just sealed the deal

Thorn's gadgets works only with other OPs. For example Frost and Thorn, Melusi and Thorn, Clash and Thorn but my favorite is Thorn and Goyo Duo. U are placing Ur mines directly on goyo's gadgets and now IT triggers Goyo tanks when attacker is in range and its hard to stop it. If u want to shoot down Thorn's mine most likely u will trigger Goyo. In right placent even when attackers just sprints nearby that trap combo he cant go back because of goyo explosion so many times attacker is forced to being in danger zone with no way out
