Yes you have been out together when you went to get veggie, at the pub I believe and they were only letting a few people in at a time. Yeah you're going to find that those orange trees aren't going to thrive down there they need direct sunlight and once you start picking on them they won't look as colorful. You'll also need to spray them occasionally for bugs. Don't water them until the first inch of soil is dry, you can over water them and they'll go bad. They're better in clay or plastic pots to keep in moisture. You have one of the hardy group of oranges that are really more like mandarin orange and tangerine. Good Luck

Lumi is the real Head of the Household!! :) LOVE the new workspace and the fruit trees! Yes - you will have to wrap them in the winter! As for the basil -- herbs love to be well used -- and just pinch off any flowers from the top to encourage growth!

I love this question of what would you have in a field if you had 10 acres... I grew up on 350 acres in Australia and we had horses and cows but we also had lots of wild animals living on the property like emus, kangaroos, platypus and turtles which was all very exciting for a girl growing up. These days if I had that 10 acres I’d design and build a very Mediterranean style home and surround it with an olive grove 🌿

I actually like the staircase the grey color as it matches the background now. Unless you are wanting it to stand out in white, the grey looks nice.

Love the way your home is looking, the floors, the wall paneling, the color theme, everything. Those trees looked so good in your front foyer, I wonder if they make faux trees that look as real as those do, they sure would look beautiful inside your home too. Something about citrus trees is so beautiful.

My field would depend on the size of my country manor! Clearly in this dream scenario my country manor would be grand. I would love a formal garden that looks amazing from the house as well as strolling in and amongst. And within the formal borders of evergreen and in between all the various beautiful shapes, perhaps grow some produce. They could be planted in symmetrical patterns to look glorious, as well as to be consumed! I’m a very big fan of aesthetics! I would definitely have the beds irrigated so they can be programmed to water as the plants in any given quadrant should need! I’m assuming my lovely garden comes with a gardener to keep everything quaffed and trimmed to perfection! Picture the Palace of Versailles gardens on a much smaller scale. Yeah... I think that should do! 😉😁😂

Hi Ali here in the south of cyprus nearly every house has a jasmin tree. The smell in the summer when the flowers appear are just insane.would look beautiful down in the basement.

Cutting the basil like tht won't harm it but what you need to do is pinch out the few little leaves growing at the end of each stem so all the energy goes into making the plant stronger and bushier. You can also buy different types of 😊💞 🌿 Xxx

Do you think that a positive that has come from the time we are in is the love both of you now have for your garden and plants?
