Unboxing: BRAND NEW Barbie Looks | Model: #2 & #3

Today, I'm excited to show you two of the brand new Barbie Signature Looks dolls. I am an adult doll collector and this review is intended for adults in the doll collecting hobby.

Bill Greening is my favorite designer! He designs dolls that he wants in his own personal collection - the 'Barbie Basics' series and now 'Barbie Signature Looks'! The new face sculpts are absolutely stunning! I'm waiting and hoping for more 'Steffie' face sculpt dolls!!!

You can tell nuera wasn't involved in this project. Let's be honest, we were attracted to the bmr line not because of the trashy fashions, but because of the m2m Ken dolls. In my case I will get the blond Ken and the Pleyedian Barbie.

Hi! I agree with your review 100 percent on these Barbie LOOKS dolls. Finally, we have two series for adult collectors - Barbie LOOKS and Barbie Rewind 80s. As you mentioned on the review, quality as well as reasonably priced. I was so excited I purchased two of the 3, 1 and 6. What a Heavenly coincidence 316. The petite Asian, the skin tone isn't the same as first wave MTM pink top. her skin tone matches the pigtails Teresa pink sweater dress and Tutu cool fashionista. Her skin tone is very similar to fashionista Raquelle and I'm planning to get some to toss 90s Ariel heads onto that Petite doll.

but yeah 2017 onwards, the MTM skin tones have been so wildly inconsistent that it's impossible to make an exact match but ya know, you know it's Mattel lol.

I am so excited for this doll line! This is exactly what so much of us collectors have been wishing for. I really hope I can find them in stores soon, I really love the Asian, the black girl and the platinum blonde. Love the simple, classy fashions, something real people would actually wear and their makeup is perfect!

I am so in love with these. I missed out a Barbie basics. I love these even more because of MTM bodies. I got one of all except for #1 who I am still hunting for. Amazon needs to ship. Lol. I won't pay scalpers. Just no. Thank you for another awesome video. This is a dream line for me. I wrote Mattel last year saying I want a MTM body line similar to Barbie Basics with REAL CLOTHES Adults would wear.

I was very fortunate today. Was at the thrift store browsing around and my wonderful hubby saw the # 2 doll in the display case for only 5 bucks. XD I almost screamed right then and there!

Oh I'm so excited for these dolls! The Basics line was especially created for OOAK artists and it's so much fun to see them create a revived version of that, so we can actually get some dolls for that purpose with great articulation from the get go. It's even in the description! I wouldn't be surprised if these have saran hair too (haven't gotten far in the video at this point so Idk if you mention anything about that as of writing this) like the Basics did.
Love the asian doll especially. She has such a fierce look to her, which kind of breaks the stereotype of asian women being subdued, soft, submissive, dependent etc. Idk why but I can picture her being the sister of Extra #2.
I think they're planning to give us as many different skintones as possible first, before they focus on giving us different body types with repeated skintones.
Generally speaking, I've noted that Mattel invests money into the first 2, 5 years of a doll line, then they tend to decrease slowly over a 2-3 years long period of time before the quality is just... meh. Unless there's market competition. Then they invest more money again.
Also, it's espresso, not expresso.

The name for the petite girl is Kit. Curvy doll is Elle. Tall doll is Victoria. Regular Barbie is Lina . White male is Sean and AA male is Jon..

These damn Looks dolls… I‘m so hyped. I literally saved up money so I could buy both Kens in one batch as soon as they‘re released. They‘re priced 34€ per doll here in Germany. But the Boys are not out yet here in Germany. I‘m literally refreshing three different collector dolls sellers and amazon twice a day each. I‘m going crazy.

I cannot wait until these dolls are available in my country. I need the petite asian one because this is the first time a sculpt vaguely looks like a female version of me. She would be so cool to customize so perhaps I need two 😭

Also you're one of my favourite doll channels. The video quality is always amazing and you're so funny. Absolutely LOVE all the graphics you make for the videos too.

IM SO HAPPY THEY HAVE THE PAINTED MAKEUP AGAIN!!! Was so disappointed when I got a BMR with awful pixelation, can't wait till I get we get the Barbie looks dolls in the UK

These are two really fabulous dolls. I’m so late in collecting them however, I’m just glad that I didn’t miss it totally. Mine had the little indention on the hand as well. Awww Hopefully, there will be many more waves!!!🥰🤩🌹

Thank you for showing the unboxing of these dolls! I agree with you—well worth $20 each. I just hope I can get them. The scalpers are already out there asking 3 or 4 times the price. Not going to buy at that price.
