Easy Lithium Locations | Subnautica guide

A guide to two different Lithium /shale outcrop spots in Subnautica to find your lithium to use for various upgrades and base building. Its also possible to get a ton of lithium from the Seatreaders, but since that biome is harder to find these locations are faster.

I swear this game has a way of dropping tons of resources you don't need in front of you, and then the second you need something specific it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. Got all the other resources for my prawn in about 5 minutes, spent 2 hours and found dozens of gold and rubies but 0 lithium or even silver

I dropped a "mini scanner base" about midway between the mush biome and entrance to the UG, and without any extenders it lights up around 100 lithium in the mush and in the drop to the UR. MUCH more effective lithium farming than trying to spot it visually. Mini scan base:
building: hatch, MPR, scanner, hatch
inside: bio reactor, indoor grow bed with 4x bulbo trees, a fabricator, and 3-4 large lockers
add one reinforcement and some glass inside, and a light and beacon outside to spruce the place up if you care to. maybe add a battery charger if you plan to spend a lot of time there

just go to Sea Treaders Path and break all the shale outcrops the sea treaders make. Unlimited Lithium 💯

its frustrating that by the time you get the drill arm you pretty much already had all the resources you need and no longer have a use for harvesting large amounts at one time from the giant rock piles you find. It only then becomes useful for your own personal gigantic unnessessary base building of pure vanity lol . but as for the actual game purposes its almost useless at that point

The mushroom biome is actually safe because the snakes won’t attack you unless you go over the mushrooms they’re in

Cool place, and also the alien structure/warp area is in this trench so that's a plus. I didn't find a whole lot of lithium, but a few. And the shale I did break yielded a few diamond, gold and a few lithium. On to find another area. Jellyshrooms are a better location as I have scrounged quite a bit from there.

Which place do you think has more lithium? I can easily deal with the crab snakes using the perimeter defense system and just need the most lithium per time spent.

Either it's not right trench or no lithium or shale spawned for me. Maybe you aren't using the same coral tube to guide you but i spent 30 mins searching
