2019-04 - Rayleigh-Taylor Instability

Rayleigh-Taylor instability is simulated by OpenFOAM in a 2D case. This instability can occur when there is an interface between two fluids of different densities with the lighter fluid is pushing the heavier fluid.

To me, I find that the onset of turbulent flow with the phenomenon of rolling up of the interface is interesting. The instability results in beautiful picture of vortexes.
