Closed Loop is an engine tuning term. It means to use all of the information from the sensors and allowing those to inform and tune the engine. Open loop means you run the pre-planned tune and ignore sensor inputs. Hope that helps as why Haas used that term

Surely merc were running loads of fuel but Real Bull being over a second up on p2 just sounds crazy even if there was a moderate difference in weight. Also that Sauber green is growing on me, really pops makes the Aston look pretty dull.
