If you’re new to my channel, my name is Dr. Sean O’Mara. I’m a Health Optimization Physician, which means I help people get rid of chronic disease and take their health to the next level without using pharmaceuticals or surgeries. I’ve spent the last 15 years researching and practicing the real secrets to health optimization myself. Since anyone can say anything online these days, let me give you some details you can look up and verify for yourself.

Here’s how I got here…

46 yrs old: Overweight and suffering from heart disease, back pain, and sleepless nights. I was diagnosed with atherosclerosis, Barrett’s esophagus, and degenerative joint disease.
47 yrs old: Doctors recommended surgery and more meds. I wasn’t ready to accept that.
48 yrs old: Received a research grant from the National Science Foundation.
48 yrs old: Spent the next 7 years studying disease at its root—working 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. every single day, all while supporting my family with a part-time job.
49 yrs old: During my research, I found the breakthrough: visceral fat, the hidden fat deep inside the body, was linked to nearly every chronic disease.
51 yrs old: I uncovered the key to reversing disease—eliminating visceral fat.
53 yrs old: I removed all my visceral fat. With it, I reversed every health issue—heart disease, back pain, atherosclerosis, and more.
54 yrs old: I dedicated my life to helping others achieve the same results.
55 yrs old: Started working with high performers—entrepreneurs, athletes, and executives—to optimize their health naturally, without relying on drugs or surgery.

Today: I work with people who want to optimize their health and appearance to match their level of success. We’re not just talking about removing disease. We’re taking health to levels that most doctors and pharmaceuticals say is impossible.

To everyone out there struggling with their health, you’re either writing a story of recovery or you’re still trapped by disease. The bigger the problem, the more incredible your comeback story will be!

Keep going. Your health is worth fighting for.

Never quit,
Dr. Sean

P.S. Don’t just grow older... grow better!

I've got low visceral fat and I'm 55. I spent a lot of years figuring out why I had inflammatory issues and fluctuating weight. I found a lot of information over the last 25 years of taking things seriously. It took a long time to understand things. The info isn't out there. Dr. O'Mara is on point. His sprinting protocol is the best thing I ever heard. When I was young I raced on track bikes in the velodrome, sprinting on a track on a bicycle. When I got older, got married, became a father, etc I had a lot of weight gain over night. This put me on the path to figure out what was really going on. What O'Mara is doing here to show people the truth is truly amazing. Get rid of visceral fat. My truck is 20 years old. Lol. Spend your money on your health.

You are onto such an ENORMOUS subject that we haven’t even begun to scratch the surface of. I’ve spent years trying to figure out my constant (various) tendonitis flare-ups, my addictions (when I’ve never been that type of personality before), my occasional mental sh*t, my resistant to change muscles (I’m a bodybuilder), and so many other new issues that have cropped up as my visceral fat has increased. My doctors have looked everywhere BUT here (of course they blame menopause)- and all the answers to ALL my issues reside in this ONE thing. Visceral Fat! What a relief to have found this subject and you! Thank you from my poor suffering body!

That opening as you discuss this gentleman's photo then MRI with the visceral and deep subcu fat coloured is mind blowing. No matter how many times I see it I learn every time.

It would be nice if you could get the VA system to implement these strategies.

I have been told I have invisible obesity. I’m 5’5 and weigh 120 pounds. I’m in my 50s and I’m quite worried about this. Thanks for making this video. 😢

I am 64 to be 65 in 2 months. I just started sprinting on treadmill. I am feeling great already. I am a former runner and can't wait to see results. I am mostly carnivore and am pretty fit except for belly fat. I'll keep ya posted. Thank you, Sean!

This is really valuable topic, thank you for sharing this information! I was thinking that you should do short 5min "teaser" video which would be sort of easy gateway to this content that could be easily shared to friends and family. 😊

I believe what you are talking about in bro-science lore is "skinny fat". Individuals who are not necessarily obese on the BMI scale, but are mostly sedentary and while they have a "normal" waist line are carrying too much viseral fat around their organs. Sometimes these folks show up at the gym, but don't see much improvements because they are using a poorly designed program.

Too late for my before mri, but finishing 10, 000 sprints around Nov 1, I’m making appt. That’s 568 miles or from Mpls to Fort Wayne Indiana. 100 yarders and at #3, 600 today and walk back to start line. 25 morning, 25 at night. Sucks. Now under 12th grade weight of 185 in Nov 1973. Not stopping, boring as hell. 70 strides each so I’m planning on completing 700, 000 strides. You may go near my house daily, stop by. Right off 55 in Plymouth. I’m trying Doctor. Into it. Retired. Age 69. Livin’ to 100 plus. Flat stomach, not stopping. Don’t have a doctor, no meds.

Interesting about the grip strength. I've alternatively twisted wrenches and worked construction most of my life, and have a bone crusher handshake. I'm rather unhealthy otherwise, with fat to get rid of, ED, pre-diabetes and some other issues. So glad I found Dr. Sean a while back. I've been 100% carnivore for three months now and I'm up to 20 hour daily fasts.

Another great podcast Dr. Sean! I am doing the sprinting on an irregular basis for the past 4 Months and see my HbA1C dropped from 5.9 to 5.7, feels better than before. My question is how to handle the skinny fat people who have diabetes or pre diabetes? If longer fasting will negatively impact the muscle mass, what else we can do to get into the autophage status? The skinny fat person already has a lot less muscle to handle the sugar. Thank you so much sDr. Sean!

I'm 34 and already do most of the things you say. The sprinting is a miracle. When hiking, I have much more stamina. Jogging for years (which I mostly stopped doing) couldn't give me that stamina level. Working on my hidden fat currently, as that's really a problem with my body. Thank you

I'm removing sprinting(actually intensely pedaling an elliptical) from my protocol. I loathe it. From now on I will trust that good food is enough to get rid of visceral fat.

Could you please address the topic of bodies that have undergone plastic surgery such as tummy tucks, and how they could tell if they have visceral fat just by looking? Are there any signs to look for especially when their tummy looks flat from surgery.
