DOCTOR Reacts to Baki Hanma | PICKLE Wars Saga Fact-Check

Hey I'm a Doctor working in the UK and in this video I react to and FACT-check scenes in the latest BAKI Hanma: PICKLE WARS SAGA anime.
In todays video I break down the science behind several scenes from the PICKEL Wars saga.
I fact-check PICKLE's saline preservation and revival, Yujrio hanma's feats of strength, PICKLE's anatomy, katsumi's mach punch technique, Retsu's injuries, jack hanma's fight against pickle and injuries and finally baki's preparation for his fight against Yujiro Hanma.

Along the way we'll be keeping a percentage accuracy of the scenes and finally conclude how accurate the PICKLE Wars Saga really is.

I love the fact that they combine real facts with goofy logic it makes for such a good anime

For the confusion of Jack still doping. He stopped taking the specific steroid X-4, the one that transformed his body in the first place, after he threw it all up against Baki. But he still uses other forms of steroids. Jack will put basically anything in his body if it'll make him stronger. Jack still has the mindset of a Hanma, which drives him to do anything for strength, but since his body is frail unlike his brother's and father's, he needs artificial enhancements to keep up.

I think the Baki Characters are just build different. For example, even many of the ''normal'' guys in this series are already extremely strong and very famous, but they still get clapped by the main characters in 2 seconds. This is why the mach punch is possible in the baki universe, they can go beyond human limits, thus the bizarre explanations of their powers. Interesting video like always doc, please never stop these, its good content.

The "glass" Yujiro forces himself through is clearly meant to be acrylic glass/plexiglass, which behaves more like plastic than glass.

The point isn't walking through it would be easy, but it does behave realistically when Yujiro breaks through.

Theoretically, if this mans was from the jurassic period, it makes sense why he's such an absolute beast. The mans is built to fight dinosaurs bare handed.

For the bullet bit it also depends on the type of bullet. The Russians or Soviet Union developed a bullet known as a "Poison bullet" that flies through the air like any normal bullet but once it penetrates tissue, muscle, etc. it tumbles everywhere in the body in an unpredictable matter either making you super lucky and having it miss all your vitals or super unfortunate and scramble your insides up.

Just as a fun fact, at 22:47. There actually are multiple occasions this has happened. There was a priest in france who was decapitated and walked from his location of death to church before collapsing. Theres a famous Japanese story of a commander of a squad who made a gambit that if he could run past all his men after being killed, theu would be freed, and he succeeded. On a less extreme note, boxers do this constantly, they will continue throwing weak punches and keeping up a guard despite being almost completely unconscious

For the last one, even Yujiro admits that it's impossible to crush coal into diamond with his hands

23:00 i would like to talk about this part. So, there was a case of a headless chicken who lived for 18 months. It was recorded and is confirmed to be true. Also there are historical events/stories in which warriors fought with swords, even after getting there head cut, moving swords in a way that whoever comes in the way, weather its a friend or a foe will be damaged or even killed, this event only happens for like few minutes (from what i have heard). I’d say there are many things medical science today is not capable to explain.

You can't train to react while unconscious or asleep. But you can train to the point where you react when unconscious or asleep. Protip, do not try to shake awake somebody who does brazillian jiujutsu. "Bruh wake u-" and he has you in a chokehold with his legs wrapped around your torso before his eyes open.

I believe that the Hanma bloodline has resistance to both chemicals and poison. Baki could still fight even when poisoned to a degree that would have killed an ordinary person, and Jack Hanma was able to withstand extremely potent anabolic steroids.
