I hope the Quest 3S at least has Color Passthrough and runs better than the Quest 2
If it doesn't at least have those things, it might as well just be a newer Quest 2.

I think the Quest 3 s, if this information is accurate, will probably sell pretty well, but the resolution seems to be the same, or at least very similar to Quest 2's. Still, for $300, getting color passthrough mixed reality, and an improved chipset, is a good deal.

The idea that Rockstar is just starting to put together a dev team on GTA San Andreas...when it was first announced in 2021, means that the game was canceled, but Meta didn't want to admit it.

I think this makes a whole lot of sense.
When tech stuff is released the "most expensive" version is often released first (there is a tendency).
It will also make more people adapt to vr,
and i really hope they sell a bunch of this headset.

The more players and vr owners there are,
the greater incentive there is for studios to make vr games because of a larger market and more sales.
Vr tech has come far i think. What holds it back now is a lack of good games.

Most vr games are plain bad if you compare them with pancake games,
you wont get this impression when looking at reviews though.
There are less gameplay mechanics, smaller worlds and just worse gameplay.
Some of this has to do with hardware limitations, but god damn it we had great games in the early 2000s too.
(there are however great games too, like guardians frontline)

To be honest i think we set the bar lower for vr games,
many of the games are still what i consider "tech demos" and lack a whole lot of features.
Thrill of the fight is a great game, but man is it bare bones and lacks content.

The games has started to become better though and i am hopeful for the future.
I think we are entering golden times for vr.
Right now the studios are small, they experiment and take risks.
They are also actively learning from what works in vr, remember.
The medium is still really young.

This is true. I work for (REDACTED) and we are using this quest 3s headset. Based on the hardware it’s using the pancake lenses from the 2 but has the same front cameras from the 3.

There are millions of screenshots of GTA San Andreas online, and that image looks AI generated, so the reason it might bear such a resemblance to CJ is that it just has been trained on a lot of data of him. Just saying.

the Quest 3s, like nay "light" version of a device, is a mistake, it will only hurt Quest games, because they will have to be able to play on both the Q3s and Q3

I hope I’m wrong but I can’t see San Andreas being very good. Those graphics in VR will look awful. Hopefully they make a lot of improvements, especially in the faces of NPCs
