It’s all fun and games until the customer says “NO” to your insane prices.

Hey dealers, if you reading!!! I’m glad you guys are struggling. You took buyers out of the market for years marking up over msrp, add ons and ripping customers off with other sales tactics. Hope you have fun….

GFY

When you try to sell $35K vehicles for $98K this is what happens. Part of the problem is all the numerous government mandates for both "safety" and "emissions" (EPA BS) the other part is they try to pack as many luxury features into each vehicle to get the prices up when many customers only want and can only afford a basic vehicle and this especially applies to trucks, you used to be able to buy a basic work truck for a decent price, hand crank windows, cheap or no radio, bench seats, manual transmission etc. but not any more!

I paid my 2018 4x4 Tacoma with 42k miles off today. I drive about 4-5k miles a year and am in my late 40s. I’m hoping to be one of those 75 year olds driving around in a really really really old vehicle. I’ll never owe money on a vehicle again - ever.

HAHaHAHA!!! My parents bought a nice home in the 80s for 80K. You want us to buy a pickup for 90K! Yall must be outta your minds!!! We're not buying! People, don't buy!! Just fix your existing car. You don't need a new one! Make the car lots fully stack up with unsellable 100K vehicles! Bankrupt the insane CEO's!!! Same with the housing market. The average family can't afford 600 K for a basically average 3 bedroom house. Yall are Nuts!!!! Don't buy anything now. Bankrupt these insane elites just like they're bankrupting you!!! Let them sit on 2 billion of inventory!!!! F Them!!!!

Sell all that inventory for cost with 0% interest. Take your loss and recalibrate

I was in the market for a new small truck, The maverick was unobtainable without a huge dealer mark up, the taco was wildly too expensive for a basemodel 4x4. I was looking at a basemodel f150 4x4 extended cab with vinyl seats and plastic floors and it was almost 40k OTD. So I bought used frontier for half the cost of a new car with less than 100k. Yeah, it's no Tacoma but it's 90% as reliable for over half the cost.

I'm a Ford guy, but wouldn't buy another one past 2018. Too many recalls now, prices are out of control. This is clearly a management problem with Ford.

Dealership ripped off my wife with 7000 of fees even with over half down. Never again. I would rather buy used and put a new engine in it than ever buy at a dealership again. Lots of people have similar stories.

They deserve every bit of this for permitting the dealer gouging
